Dental Digital X-Rays And Dental Cone Beam Computerized Technology (CBCT) Mars, PA and Butler, PA

In order for our dental team to learn about your dental health, our team will recommend having a full complement of digital dental X-rays completed at your first visit. This allows us to accurately diagnose your dental treatment.

Why Have Dental Digital Xrays and Dental Cone Beam Computerized Technology (CBCT) Taken at Dental Visits?

Dental digital X-rays should be completed every year to evaluate if any dental abnormalities occur, which could lead to tooth infection or loss of teeth. Our clinical team will also recommend additional Dental Cone Beam Computerized Technology (CBCT) to be completed if they deem necessary.

Full Mouth Series

Our dental team will utilize our digital NOMAD handheld X-ray unit that will take 18 individual digital films that allow for us to evaluate tooth decay, dental infection, periodontal disease and overall bone health. A full mouth series is recommended every 3-5 years or based on a patient's individual needs.

Cone Beam Computerized Technology (CBCT)

Our Vatech Cone Beam Computerized Technology (CBCT) allows our dental team to evaluate your dental health in Three dimensions. This enables us to evaluate a detailed view of your head and neck anatomy that is not able to be viewed in traditional X-rays. Our CBCT allows us to evaluate a patient's sinus cavity, airway, TMJ dysfunction, bone health for dental implants, and fractured teeth. A CBCT is recommended base on a patient’s individual dental needs

Bitewings

Dental digital bitewing X-rays are recommended to be taken yearly to evaluate a patient for cavities that could be located in between a patient’s teeth that cannot be diagnosed otherwise.

Panoramic

Dental digital panoramic X-rays are recommended every 3-5 years to help evaluate a patient’s wisdom teeth or any jaw abnormalities that cannot be evaluated with bitewings.

Cepholometric

Dental digital cephalometric is recommended for patients that are starting orthodontic treatment. This allows for our dental team to evaluate the current jaw structure to better diagnose the time that patient will be in treatment.
